PAMELA KING

Pamela is a family therapist, international speaker, and trainer in solution-focused practice.

Founder of Solution Play Training Center, she is an enthusiastic and experienced solution-focused therapist, international speaker, author, and trainer. She has 30 years of experience in numerous intervention contexts, including domestic violence treatment programs, intervention in public schools, university teaching, and private practice. Pamela has designed and implemented innovative solution-focused play therapy programs for children and their families. She has specialized training in play therapy, trauma, and family violence. Pamela applies improvisation principles to develop flexibility, confidence, and spontaneity with clients.

Pamela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and a Master’s degree in Human and Family Development from Utah State University, USA. She is the author of the book Tools for Effective Therapy with Children and Families: A Solution-Focused Approach, published by Routledge, as well as articles and chapters in other publications. She received the Steve de Shazer Memorial Award for her innovations in solution-focused brief therapy in 2017.
