JAVIER VERDÚ

Javier is psychologist. Since 2006, he has been working at the Canary Youth Foundation IDEO, developing interventions with adolescents and young people who are serving Therapeutic Internment Judicial Measures at the CIEM Valle Tabares. In December 2012, he joined the team of the Open Environment Program, which works with adolescents and young people serving Judicial Measures in a supervised freedom context, handling the intervention of Outpatient Treatment Measures, addressing behavioral and drug dependency issues. In 2017, he began training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which radically changed his professional practice. He currently applies solution-focused practice with adolescents and young people in juvenile justice, quickly achieving results. After 17 years of direct intervention, he is currently developing and implementing a Prevention Program designed based on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
