JAMES BEAUCHEMIN

James Beauchemin is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Boise State University.  He received his PhD from Ohio State University and MSW from the University of Vermont. Primary research interests include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, wellness promotion, integrated mind-body-spirit interventions,  and the mental health of college students. Scholarly pursuits have  led to opportunities such as serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the American Council on Exercise, Research Committee member for the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Association, and providing wellness-focused training for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Recent publications include: Effects of a Brief, Solution-Focused, Digital Intervention on Social Wellness Among College Students: A Pilot Study; The impact of a brief solution-focused classroom intervention on attitudes toward multidimensional wellness promotion among college students in helping professions; and Solution-focused wellness coaching: A mixed methods, longitudinal study with college students. In the past he has presented papers and conducted trainings at local, regional, national, and international conferences.
